
Kapi'olani Medical Center is Hawaii's only Children's Miracle Network [CMN] sponsored hospital which is a non-profit world-wide alliance of hospitals for children. The Children's Miracle Network is dedicated to saving lives and 100% of the money raised by Kapi'olani Children's Miracle Network stays in Hawaii to help pay for medical equipment, public education, research and care for Hawaii's uninsured women and children. The Kapi'olani hospital serves all children of Hawai'i regardless of ability to pay and focuses on pediatric and tertiary level III specialized pediatric care. Kapi'olani's family-centered approach to health care puts patients and families at the center of the health care experience where they can heal together and promote better outcomes and positive recoveries.
Miss Hawai'i contestants from Maui County gathered at Costco in Kahului to help raise funds for the Kapi'olani Children's Miracle Network Fund. Overall it was a very successful day filled with lot's of balloons, smiling children, lollipops and charitable community members who gave dollar after dollar to support the organization and the miracles they make possible for Hawaii.
